Travis Kvapil on Homestead-Miami Speedway …

"First and foremost, qualifying is going to be so important to us. Over 50 cars are entered so we will have to be on top of our game. We tested down there and since then, took a few cars over to the wind tunnel to evaluate which cars we should take. I think we have a good idea of what we need to do so hopefully, everything will go well so that we can end the season on a high note.

"I enjoy racing at Homestead. They took a flat track and banked it. The transitions into the corners are unique. The banking does not pick up until you are midway into the corner. I find that to be challenging. Once you are into the corner, you can move all over the race track. They've done a great job with the progressive banking. It is really racy."

How was the NASCAR test at Homestead for PPI?

"The two days we were down there, we worked extremely hard. We spent a day and a half just on qualifying so I am hoping it will pay off for us by not only making the race on speed, but earn us a respectable qualifying start. The test was very important to us. We definitely learned a bunch so we are looking forward to going back. It's been a very challenging year for us and I would really like to see us do well. We've worked so hard and the guys deserve a run at it on Sunday."
