Official Team Report

Terry Cook - No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International

EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 200
Atlanta Motor Speedway
Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006

* Tight Points Race Makes for Exciting Season Finale: With just 124 points separating fourth place driver Ted Musgrave and 10th place, Terry Cook, several points positions are still up for grabs at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Friday night. The finale of the 2006 season will give seven drivers the chance to gain and lose their current position in the driver point standings. Cook and the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team are looking for a solid finish during Ford Championship Weekend and finish the season on a high note by finishing in the top-10 driver point standings.

* Proven Truck/ Experienced Driver: The No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team is bringing chassis 11 to Homestead. This is the same truck Cook brought to Victory Lane at Kansas Speedway in July. He also raced chassis #11 in Atlanta and Texas a few weeks ago where he finished second and eighth respectively. Terry Cook has experience with Homestead-Miami Speedway(HMS). Completing 1021 laps in eight starts, Cook has recorded three top-10 finishes. He also has an average start of 13.6 and an average finish of 18.4 at HMS

* Pennsylvania Police Officers on Team: Crew members Bill Cahill and Marty Brice have full-time jobs as a sergeant with the Westtown-East Goshin Regional and Coatesville (Pa.) Police Departments, respectively. On the weekends, however, both Cahill and Brice spend their time working on the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team. Cahill was part of a team called to Ground Zero on September 11, 2001

* Breaking the Barriers for Women: Nicole Addison is leading the way for women to enter NASCAR with aspirations to serve as over-the-wall crew members. Addison is the rear tire changer for the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team and is the only female over-the-wall crew member in NASCAR's top-three series. This is her second full-time year in the NCTS

* "Professor Cook" Teaches Rookies: Before every race weekend, the NCTS holds a rookie drivers meeting prior to the first practice session and Terry Cook serves as their professor. Cook teaches the rookies everything from the racing line to avoiding trouble in the corners. On a typical race weekend, there are more than 10 Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year contenders attempting to qualify for the race. Class has been in session since February.

COOK ON HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY:

"Homestead is a neat track and it's Ford Championship weekend and we race the Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International truck so of course it's a huge weekend for us. The track has multiple grooves so you can race up top, in the middle, and on the bottom. The season finale is a one day show for us. We're at the track early and race late so it will be hard on the teams. We're still trying to reach our goal of a top-five points finish but if we can't reach it, we want to gain as many positions as possible. We've gained the most points we could all year but it's going to come down to Homestead. Where we finish at HMS will dictate where we end up in the points. We're looking for the best possible finish this Friday night and we're bringing a winning truck to do it with."
