Mike Skinner - Team Tundra Event Preview

NOTES:
* This week's race truck for Homestead-Miami Speedway is Chassis No. 5-87. The No. 5 Bill Davis Racing team will use the same truck that finished eighth at Atlanta Motor Speedway three weeks ago.
* What a Year… Bill Davis Racing has had a banner year in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The organization has won six races, or 25 percent of the races held this season. The team's eight pole positions means a BDR truck has led the field to the green flag in 30 percent of the events. Mike Skinner's teammate, Johnny Benson, leads the series in top-five finishes (13) and top-10 finishes (17). Skinner and the No. 5 Toyota Tundra team have led a series-best 870.45 miles.
* Double Duty… Skinner will drive his No. 5 Toyota Tundra in Friday's Ford 200. He will also drive the No. 12 car in Saturday's NASCAR Busch Series season finale.
* Top Tens in a Row… Skinner and the No. 5 team are aiming for their ninth consecutive top-10 finish Friday night in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. In the nine week stretch, the team has gone from 15th to eighth in the points standings. One victory and two runner-up finishes during that time have contributed to an average finish of 4.12.
* Pole Man… The No. 5 Toyota Tundra team has captured the award for most poles this season (seven). The team also won that honor last year.
* Listen and watch … The Ford 200 is scheduled to start at 8:05 p.m. EDT Friday, Nov. 17. It will broadcast live on Speed (TV), MRN (radio) and XM Radio channel 144.

"I like the reconfigured Miami-Homestead Speedway because if you are not fast on the bottom, you can move around and find a place that your truck is comfortable. It is all going to be new to us because it is a night race. Hopefully, we can adjust our notes accordingly and be a contender.
"We did not set any goals at the beginning of the season, but if you asked anyone on the No. 5 team, we would have said we wanted to sit on a pole, win a race and be competitive week in and week out. By winning seven poles, and winning in Las Vegas I would say we have had a successful season. We have been one of the hottest teams in the garage the last several months and I am looking forward to running for a championship with Mike [Skinner] in 2007."
