Ford 300
Homestead-Miami Speedway

MATT KENSETH - No. 17 DeWalt Ford - (Race Winner)

ON THE FLUTTER IN THE MOTOR AT ONE POINT.

"Well if you ask my dad, or Katie, or Robbie for that matter, they'll all tell you I always have demons when we're running good. (Laughter) It just skipped a couple times getting into (turn) one and didn't run right for two or three laps and then it just cleared up and ran again. So I don't know if it was my imagination or a plugwire or what it was. But we had a great car all night. It was really, really awesome on a long run. I was very concerned with only having 25 (laps) at the end. But I got supergood restart and got by them guys and had a lot of fun racing Carl(Edwards)."

ON THE BATTLE WITH EDWARDS.

"Yeah, I got under Carl you know? We were side-by-side and I seen the eleven (Menard) car was starting to catch us so I was starting to get a little nervous about that. So I finally had to drive into (turn) three and got slid up in front of him. So it was a lot of fun."

ON LEARNING ANYTHING TO HELP TOMORROW.

"I know I had a lot of fun. I'd be sitting in the bus watching it, so I had a lot of fun. But I don't know if I learned anything or not but it was a whole lot of fun."

CARL EDWARDS - No. 60 Ameriquest Mortgage Ford - Finished 2nd

"That was cool to be able to race with Matt like that. He's a great race car driver and Paul Menard did a great job. I just got to thank Ameriquest, my crew and everybody. I hope the fans enjoyed that race. It was a lot of ffun for me and we'll be back tomorrow and try to get one."

PAUL MENARD - No. 11 Menards/Johns Manville Chevrolet - Finished 3rd

"Our car was basically set up for a long run and those restarts at the end really hurt us. Butr you know, Pops and all the boys just did a hell of a job on the John's Manville/Menards Chevy. I was probably the fastest car after about twento or thirty laps buy unfortunately we didn't have that at the end."

DENNY HAMLIN - No. 20 Rockwell Automation Chevrolet - Finished 4th

"It was a lot of fun with the four of us. You know I wish we could be...get in there a little bit more than we could. But it's still a good run for the Rockwell Automation Chevrolet. It's a good way to end the year, you know we're ending it on a high note. This is what it's all about."

JJ YELEY - No. 18 Vigoro Winterizer/HomeDepot Chevrolet - Finished 5th

"It was an excellent run. That first time out we tried to stay out and hope for a caution and get a little track position and catch some of those guys down a lap. But it just didn't work out. We gave up too much track position and really fought back there. You know I was happy with fifth but we at least had a top=three car."

KEVIN HARVICK - No. 21 U.S. Coast Guard Chevrolet - Finished 6th

2006 NASCAR Busch Series Champion

ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

"Yeah this is great. I've been waiting to do that burn-out there for this championship since Charlotte. It's been a great year in this U. S. Coast Guard Chevrolet. All the Dollar general Team and the Outdoor Channel Team. To run in the top-ten and the top-five and win as many races as we did you know it's jsut been an incredible year. It's been a lot of fun and I hope all these guys appreciate everything that we've been able to accomplish this year. The whole RCR organization as a whole has turned around but this Busch effort has been there from the beginning."

"I think when we went to Daytona we were really good right out of the box and from that point on we didn't make a lot of mistakes. We were able to overcome a lot of things you know that happened and a lot of things changed through the year. And when we had a bad day we were still in the top-ten. So it's been one of those years that will probable never happen again for me. I'll probably never run the whole Busch schedule again. It's just been an incredible year and like I say, 'It's just been an incredible year and probably the last time I run all these Busch races and hopefully we can keep winning racews. But this will probably be it for the Championship."

ON THIS CHAMPIONSHIP COMPARED TO THE FIRST ONE.

"Well I think this one is a lot different. Obviously 2001 was a difficult year for all of us and from the beginning we've been able to enjoy everything that we've been doing here. And the success tht we've had here on both sides and just really been able to take it all in. Where in 2001 I think it was hard to take everything in because it was so much going on with the Cup car, Busch car and everything with Dale that happened. It was just hard to kind of take it all in until next year. So it's been fun to kind of take everything in as we've gone through the whole year and each week, each day, each race you know, be able to soak it up."

ON LEARNING ANYTHING FOR THE CUP RACE.

"Well I think obviously the high line seems to be able to work. I your car's real good you can run the bottom or middle and amke it happen. So it's a lot of things we learned tonight."
